Brawlston Town

We literally haven’t been able to stop listening to Downed Economy since posting about Emil & Friends a few days ago (here) and when his re-working of another one of our favourite bands dropped this afternoon, a Sunday hangover didn’t seem so bad after all. We’re calling it a re-working and not a remix because all Emil uses from Passion Pit’s huge Sleepyhead is a sample of a sample (Oro Mo Bhaidin by Mary O’Hara that PP souped up on the original).
And on that note, we’re stoked to announce that we are going to be pressing up and releasing Emil & Friends on our very own Transparent Records in early May as a limited vinyl single of Downed Economy. It’s pretty exciting already and we don’t even know what Big E looks like yet…the blind date is going to be something special. We’ll let you know the specifics in coming weeks but let’s hope for more Hirsch than Heskey .

We held up a microphone till our arms started hurting on the Pitsters recent tour of the UK and although we won’t be winning any competitions for bootleg bloggers of the year, you get a good idea of how the live flow works on this.
