For Flora

“Leaving” by Blue Roses distills the sort of sepia-shaded rain fresh tranquility of autumn, and sunburst bloom and flourish of spring into a stately little lilting pop song so ably that it kind of makes me wish summer wouldn’t come so soon afterall with its seering stillness and instead we could live in a place of constant seasonal flux that’s always most alive green and in-love orange and never stops growing or changing long enough to look old.

Blue Roses’ debut LP pokes its head through the soil this week via Salvia/XL.
Perhaps buy a copy at Pure Groove this evening, where she plays an instore at 6.30
