So this is what The Girls At Dawn look like after seven or so hours of heaven sped dreamchasing – ruffled and all rocked out, upside down angels with pink eyes and bed head, fresh from breaking the promised forever hearts of a hundred Harley-ed hunx before waking. It’s The Only Time rattles along with the same sort of off-kilter, bubblegum on the boots, girly-garage nonchalance as bands such as Vivian Girls and Dum Dum Girls and although this could be careering perilously close to the hard shoulder of all played-out, there’ll probably always be a place in our heavy little heart for loved-up sugary pills of noisy heartfelt melody such as this.
