All chicken-necked, neurotic neo-funk and wingspread chorus with a capital C wielding, “Pieces of You” sees wide-eyed Max McElligot proudly donning David Byrne’s strong-suited, big white blazer, rolling the sleeves up and riding a beautiful black stallion into the coiffed and crimped, nosecandied dreams of a Saturday-stuck nu-romantic like some sort of nerdy knight of the pop music apocalypse.
