Equal parts sinister and seductive, Darktown Strutters hail from Denton, Texas (home to some of our other favourite bands ) but their undead and entombed brand of mutilated fairytale, b-scared movie slasher soundtracks and streetprowling, underworld eighties, vice city fucked-up hooker-funk emanates from the furthest fiery recesses of glorious, magnetic hell itself – drifting upwards, arms-out through the soil of sleep to possess only the most perfect girls who are swept up and carried as blackveiled brides over the threshold of puppy-torturing, cat-killing, parent-strangling, house-burning devil dreaming revery and are strangely but unshakeably all the more preternaturally pristine for it.
