Cross Continent

So, between the far-out frequency, water treading, pirate radio pop parade megahit of Blessa by Toro Y Moi and the much blogged Washed Out ‘s bliss kissed, high and mighty gased-out gospel almost-anthem “Feel It All Around”, it’s safe to say Columbia, South Carolina is etching itself into the gold seeker’s map in the broadest, most beautiful strokes. Lee Weather, the second project of the aforementioned Washed Out’s insanely alchemic Ernest Greene, is the the third and most new born star co-ordinate in this most auspicious and blessed beat pyramid constellation and the moniker’s first clustered-together jam “I Saw Eternity The Other Night” saunters along in the same world’s away, foggy AM manner as his contemporaries best output – hazy, head-rushed but always strangely human and romantic. “I Saw…” in particular has a strangely swooning yet clouds-bound, detached, balmy balkan feel to it – LW coming on like the chlorine crazed conductor of an underwater empire’s forever travelling orchestra who’ve long lost bearings but are just glad not to be home.

Early days yet but very much looking forward to following wherever this and the Washed Out get-up leads. For now:
