Happy Family dropped into our inbox from sender: completelygreat@popjamz.com this week like a sweethearted and brain-swelled summer afternoon nap-napping dream in which us and all of our most cherished and celebrated friends for now and forever and for keeps danced strange stoner-shaman ritual steps and sang half-forgotten foaming folk ditties and kissed and embraced dirty-faced in a joy-scrumping, bliss-picking universal harvest season that obeyed no laws of nature except that which states in no uncertain terms that all happiness is immortal and easy and reaches effortlessly and unbending from here to the end of everything. “Cups” – a bleary and glorious kaleidoscopic longshot of a distant, darling, pink tropic that is high on the same fumes as AP’s Haunted Graffiti but on a trip of entirely its own steering is the standout cut at the moment, taken from an EP of songs to be found gleaming at the project’s myspace.
