Well, this is great. A band from our own shores that rides effortlessly on the 60’s surf-pyschadelic saddle without those telling nuances that give the game away. Spectrals ‘s louche and lean-all-day brand of Philles -phillic throwback pop manages to instill a brilliantly sardonic, sandles and socks factor-50 misanthropy into its salt-water washed melody and so-cal sunshine aesthetic that is distinctly English and completely brilliant. Besides, any band of bros that namechecks Billy Childish and Big L in their influences gets our vote.
