Under their dusted down producton and faded glamour is a doe-eyed and delectable soft-centred vibe from an innocent era when the girl groups were prim and proper. You would be more likely to catch them short having afternoon tea with JFK than stepping out of a nightclub at half three in the morning.

The band have a 7” out on Slumberland under the guise of ‘The Champagne Socialists’, before they decided a recession was no time to be cracking open the bubbly stuff.
