Fast colonising our collective heart with their (or his, or perhaps most accurate would be ‘its’) sludgy, kohl-eyed doom-mongering gothpop, Ivansxtc have posted a new song on the Myspace today. The pot-holing claustrophobia and sweltering subterranean dark dub of “Breathe” carries on in the same vein as the superlative Yesterday in all its densely layered noise and submerged melody but has less eerie stillness at its heart – there’s a dancefloor wrecking ball buried somewhere beneath all this static, a disturbed disco siren wail drowning in all that glorious muck and mire at the bottom of the well.
