Our friend Greg, AKA Lofty Heights has sent us over “Skeleton Apples” today – the A-side to his forthcoming single due for release soon on the excellently named Unit Rad Records and being celebrated this evening with a launch party at The Slaughtered Lamb in Farringdon. “Skeleton Apples” is a weirdly affecting baroque folk-pop ditty that is as sweet as it is macabre – Greg’s San Franciscan (now North London) bay-blue eyed soulful croon and the song’s kindhearted psychedelica belying a peculiar pastoral existentialism that could be the stuff of nightmares if it weren’t rendered so warm and gentle.
