We’ve put out their single and even spent a week chilling with them in in their hometown of Denton (the 207th largest city in America no less), but Fergus & Geronimo have really gone that extra mile to fill the best friend hole in our lives by double punching our inbox with their neighbours The Uptown Bums and the slightly further afield Dallas trio True Widow. Stylistically they’re further apart than a short drive, but both are in the same killer track ball-park. ‘Duelist’ by True Widow begins with the soft, languid voice of Nicole Estill before rolling out with a hefty, swelling rhythm. On the other hand the slapdash ‘First Time Caller’ is an unadulterated play fast, play hard, slop-pop-punk big hitter. Texas got it goin’ on.
