Slept on this one for a little while after Dan of Nude Beach sent it over for our delectation last week but, genuine excitement aside, that seems kind of appropriate given the way it floats around in such a huffing, high (but completely compelling and beautiful, duh) fug – the death-amorous macabre of the song’s sloppy-chopped chanted lyrical coda met halfway with pining, hurting guitars that are straight up ‘till the grave romance leaving the song a kind-hearted zombie of eternal sadness in it supremely sludgy, delightful downer-dirge and lurching, gnarly narcosis. “Gimme Die” is set to appear on a forthcoming EP slated in brilliant colour for release on Bathetic shortly.
