Recently our Saturday schedule has consisted of not much more than sleeping in as late as possible and then counting down to Jedward time but this weekend we happily surrendered our life to the lovely and pure day-dreaming/night-gazing anthems of Houston’s echo soaked heroine Lashes. In particular there’s a timeless quality about the gothpop eeriness, lighter than air vocals and unhurried melancholy that subtly shuffle into ‘Sunny Skies’ which has us utterly fixated. Look for tape releases at the start of ’10 coming out through the aptly named Clan Destine Recordings in the UK and a little closer to home on FLA Records.
