Incoming 2010 - Fergus & Geronimo

In between our constant displays of affection and putting out their 7”, no doubt you’ll have read and heard a lot from us about the Stax stained, 60’s inspired lo-fidelity pop from the combined forces/harmonies of Andrew Savage and Jason Kelly AKA Fergus & Geronimo. We’ve been lucky enough recently to catch some early cuts from the debut album they’re currently recording (in analogue naturally) and it combines the timeless charm born from those early demos with a much cleaner, richer and overall beefed-up pocket symphony. We’re going to be totally objective and tell you that everything these guys do is awesome.

Favourite Album of 2009?
F: Jacuzzi Boys- No Seasons
G: Mantles – s/t.
What are your plans for 2010?
F: Go on tour, release a few records, play a show with Pavement and cover a GG Allin song.
G: Travel as much as I can, find a girlfriend, move to NYC, buy some new pants.
Can you tell us a little about the track you’ve sent us?
F: The inspiration for this song was seeing a pretty blind woman in a hijab with a red-tipped can and glasses. Couldn’t get the image out of my head, so I had to make a song about it. This happened while at my courier job for University of North Texas. I have not seen her since. Where are you blind muslim girl?
