As reported in a few other places, our boys; your friends; everybody’s heroes of the cassette tape, dusty golden nuggets of perfect pop music and all that is good and proper in the world Leftist Nautical Antiques have announced their latest tape release. “Burning Rivers, TV Flickers, Drifting Off To Bed” by Chicago’s Campfires dropped on the label yesterday and is a rich patchwork of wooly-warm guitar wrapping and falcetto’d mantras of melancholy; a bittersweet little series of seering/sad, bleary vignettes “about rust and deep water, about cold and dying, and about laying with your back on the sand in the summer and staring at stars”.
