Veronica Falls , proud parents of one of our most-adored songs of the last twelve return torn-at-the-seams yet triumphant with more weight for your hearts in the teardrop-shape of “Starry Eyes.” If you stretched out all those joysick “woo-oo-oo“s in a line they would reach a cardigan-clad arm around all the glumness in the world – beautiful Roxanne’s fragile scottish lilt effortlessly turning aching into anthem.

Look for the group’s first foray in the name of Captured Tracks very soon. Now:

  1. Yay for Veronica Falls! Just got my C/T 7’‘ today in the mail — nice to have a tangible alternative to all the mp3s floating around.

    Also, this particular track is a Roky Erickson cover (my favorite rendition of the original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIW6aWKWLSc)
