Seethrough You

Bottom-of-the-heart apologies for going a bit quiet by our garrulous standards of late. Crawling out of hibernation now though on the resplendent second day of spring with “Bermuda”, this overbearingly, heartpinchingly beautiful jam by LA’s Kisses. A sad, swaying dose of doe-eyed, europop downerdom, this song beams with crisp, cold sunlight and is just about as romantic, desperate and precious as anything we’ve come across in the wrong side of forever.
Look for the dream that is “Bermuda” to be solidified in 7” through us here at Transparent in April. Also watch for a very special re-working by Active Child on the flipside to be revealed soon.

Dear Kisses, Transparent,
This is CROSSBEAT which is a rock-oriented
magazine in Japan mainly covering the latest rock
from RADIOHEAD, ARCADE FIRE to indie rock.
We have been planning to introduce some bands
from USA in the next issue due out on April 18th,
that would take a major role in the rock scene in 2010.
Since we would very much like to introduce Kisses
this time, will you send some color photos of
the band as data to us?
If it is possible, I would like you to send a data
as large as possible to this address by March. 19th.
Needless to say, we will send the issue out on
April 18th to your address by mail, so
please let us know your mailing address as well.
I know this is short notice, but I would appreciate
it very much if you could cooperate with us since
we would like to introduce Kisses to the Japanese fans.Jin Sugiyama
