TP013 - Kisses

Brimming with delight today to welcome the latest addition to our loving rag-tag little family here at Transparent. When we first stumbled across “Bermuda” by LA’s Kisses earlier in the year it sucker-punched us into complete adoration with more immediacy than almost any other song we’ve ever put our name to. It’s an adoration that has since crystallised into fully-fledged obsession and its been getting bumped in all our better-looking dreams ever since. A complete hair-brush anthem, it is equal parts sassy sparkle and sincere longing, both swaggering with sexiness and pinched with sadness – a record alive with the sweeping glamour of a golden era disco floorfiller but itching with a humble and contageous humanity that is completely compulsive. The B-side sees constant illuminator of these pages Active Child return to grace our wax once more, embellishing the original with his miraculous falcetto and generally decking it out in other-dimension soulfulness and cut-diamond drama as only he knows how. Check out some great Kisses features and then snag the record below:

“Bermuda” b/w “Bermuda (Active Child Remix)” is out today. 300 7” only.
