TP014 - Weekend / Young Prisms

Very happy to finally be able to cut the ribbon on the next Transparent release – our second split 7” single resided on by San Fran’s best buddies Weekend and Young Prisms. Looming large in our lives for a while now, Weekend’s contribution to the happy marriage is the brilliant, dark-hearted echo anthem ‘End Times’, an all out snarling, gravel-amped fuzz-ball of a song. Flip over the vinyl to Young Prisms and a slice of something undeniably west/left coast with their track ‘I Don’t Get Much’; all foggy vocals, warm drifting bass and distant Californian summertime melody.
Both bands have already received much praise for their previous individual releases on Mexican Summer. ‘End Times/I Don’t Get Much’ split lands on the 30th to coincide with their double headed single launch in SF. As always you can order a physical copy from Pure Groove (UK/EU) / LNA (US) shortly and cop the tracks for free below:

Attended the record release party, exciting to get the single in my hot little hands. Sets by both bands were fraught with technical difficulties, but was great to give support to two excellent bands. Opening bands Swanifant and Grave Babies were great too.

While the focus of this article is on the benefits of the study, we think expanding the reach to cover costs is a positive step toward increasing awareness and reducing negative impact on our environment.
